About us
What began in 1954 in the Swabian town of Walheim has grown into an international success story built on craftsmanship and comfort. Sioux was founded by Peter Sapper with the vision of bringing the moccasin to Germany—and over the decades, the brand shaped the market with innovations like the Autoped driving shoe (1957), the intarsia design with rubber-studded sole (1958), and the iconic Grashopper (1964), which became a defining casual footwear style.
Throughout the years, Sioux has remained a family-oriented company committed to quality—earning awards for its design, expanding globally, and collaborating with well-known figures such as Til Schweiger and Maite Kelly.
Seventy years after its founding, Sioux is stronger than ever: deeply rooted in craftsmanship, trendsetting, independently owned, future-focused, and present in more than 25 countries with around 500,000 pairs of shoes sold annually.

SIOUX AUTUMN/WINTER 2026 COLLECTION – COMFORT WITH CHARACTER
Claim and Signature
The Sioux Autumn/Winter 2026 collection stands for a clear, timeless design language, authentic craftsmanship and noticeable comfort. Classic silhouettes are interpreted in a contemporary way, combining a refined look with well-thought-out functionality for everyday wear.
Key Styles of the Season
The focus is on distinctive boots, modern lace-up ankle boots and versatile casual styles. Moccasin looks establish themselves across groups as central style heroes. Successful bestseller groups have been purposefully refined and consistently expanded.
New Sneakers: Easy-in and Multiple Widths
New sneaker groups with easy-in functionality and multiple widths impress with exceptional comfort, a very good fit and a relaxed walking feel.
Icon in Focus: the Grashopper
A strong statement is also made by the original Grashopper with crepe sole, which is regaining presence as part of the current 1960s trend revival. It is complemented by a new, high-quality unisex version in a footfriendly natural shape with a distinctive, grippy rubber sole.
Color Palette: Natural Tones with Depth
The color palette is defined by naturalness and depth: warm browns, rich shades of green and accentuating reds underline the calm, premium look.
Materials: Exceptional Leather Qualities
Exceptional leather qualities are used – from soft nappa and suede to animal prints, refined embossings and patent leathers.
Function: Winter-Ready Features
Warm linings made of wool or lambskin, breathable Tex membranes and lightweight, profiled soles ensure functional reliability and comfortable wear even in winter conditions. After everything that has happened, consumers are looking for more grip and stability again. And that is exactly what they get from Sioux.
Highlight: Collaboration with Maite Kelly
A special highlight is the new collaboration collection with testimonial Maite Kelly. The styles – ranging from fashionable sneakers to sporty mid-top booties – combine trend-driven design with noticeable comfort and high everyday suitability. The testimonial further strengthens the visibility of the collection through strong advertising impact and a wide social media reach.
The Consumer Remains Price-Sensitive – So Does Sioux
Many consumers start 2026 with the resolution to “save more.” Retail and industry must measure themselves against this reality. Consumers expect high standards in design, comfort and function – at the best possible price. Sioux stands for honest value: selected leathers, noticeable comfort, winter-ready features and durable sole concepts. At the same time, the ambition remains to offer this quality within a market-viable, transparent price range – with styles that not only look good, but remain reliable beyond the season and stand up to comparison in every respect.
Added Value That Counts in Comparison
Multiple widths, easy-in concepts, warm linings and Tex membranes deliver direct functional benefits. The critical consumer checks and compares – price premiums must be justified today. This is where Sioux scores with high quality, tangible function and particularly competitive prices.
What Sioux Stands For
The Autumn/Winter 2026 collection once again demonstrates what Sioux stands for: reliable fit expertise, functional value and a confident aesthetic. At the same time, it reflects market realities. The result is quality you can see and feel when wearing it – at a price-performance ratio that convinces in comparison.
